Professor Dr. rer. oec. Norbert Klusen has considerable management experience within the health sector and in the electronics and engineering industry. For 17 years he was chairman of the board of the Techniker Krankenkasse. Prior to that he was the board member for human resources at Jungheinrich AG. Until the end of 2018 he was a management mentor for Bernotat & Cie (the Mentoring Company).
Klusen is a member of several boards of directors and serves on advisory boards in the healthcare, medical, media and equity sectors. He is chairman of the board of trustees of the Stiftung Gesundheit (health foundation), and on the Expert Advisory Board for the Innovation Fund of the German Health Care System.
Klusen teaches strategic management, international health policies and comparative health systems at the Leibniz University Hannover. He is an honourable senator of the University of Bayreuth and the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau. He held a guest professorship at the University of Michigan and was First Executive in Residence at the Griffith Institute of Executive Management, Ann Arbor.
